January 2020- REACH has continued working with the DG1 teams - Salima, Ntchisi and Zomba. Particular focuses have included performance appraisals, induction processes, handling mail, writing minutes and disciplinary cases with good progress being made.

August/Sept - The team contributed to the interim report to the EU, the highlights of which can be found in the October briefing paper.

27.8.19 - Today the team held their National Workshop - an opportunity to tell stakeholders at all levels about the project and the impact it is making in the districts. Presentations from the district health management teams on implementing their management strengthening strategies were well received, as were contributions from the Deputy Director of Quality Management Directorate at the Ministry of Health and the Director of the Staff Development Institute. Check out the tweets from the day.

3.7.19 - The REACH Trust team, along with representatives from the Quality Management Directorate at the Ministry of Health, conducted orientation sessions with the DG2 district health management teams in Zomba, Machinga and Mangochi. Twitter images here.

24.4.19 - The team recently attended the fourth annual Consortium Workshop in Accra, Ghana. During this week, team members from all of the partners gathered to take stock of where we are with regard to the implementation of the Management Strengthening Intervention at district level; the process of scale-up of the intervention; and the research activities to develop new knowledge in both these areas.  It was a really productive week that the whole PERFORM2Scale team got a lot from. This was followed by a week's writing workshop when Malawi and Ireland team members refined their writing skills, focusing on writing better research papers, policy briefs and blog posts. Lots of new skills were learnt with the results to appear on this site soon. Many of the tweets from that fortnight are here.
